NYC College Rankings – Intermat

NYU had a rough weekend after being topped by Johns Hopkins inside Madison Square Garden. However, new Intermat rankings have been released and four individual wrestlers crack the top ten in their respective weight class. Matt Noble enters at #8 at 133 lbs, Evan Drill is your #6 ranked wrestler at 149 lbs, Ray Jazikoff is #7 at 157, and Blaise Benderoth currently sits #3 at 174. Jazikoff recently won his 120th career match, putting him at #3 all-time in wins at NYU. He needs 22 wins this season to claim the top spot in NYU history. The team is battling an array of injuries that hopefully can be fixed as the second half the season unfolds.

Steven’s Institute of Technology sits at #10 in the latest team rankings led by #1 ranked wrestler at 133 lbs, Troy Stanich and #2 ranked wrestler Brett Kaliner at 141 lbs.

In NCAA Divison I rankings, Columbia’s Garrett Ryan is the lone NYC wrestler featured in the rankings. He enters at #16 for the big boys.
